Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: GLP study carried out in compliance with an internationally recognised guideline
according to guideline
OECD Guideline 109 (Density of Liquids and Solids)
according to guideline
EU Method A.3 (Relative Density)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)

pycnometer method
relative density
1.06 other: unitless
Remarks on result:
other: Two determinations were made and both gave the same result, 1.06.

The results for the two determinations were in good agreement (the estimated method accuracy is approximately ± 0.05 units).

The relative density of DMI was found to be 1.06.

Description of key information

Density at 20°C relative to water at 4°C = 1.06

Additional information

A relative density determination was performed as part of a package of physicochemical testing (Huntingdon Life Sciences, 2013, Study LBM0053). The relative density was determined according to OECD Method 109 and EC Method A3, and the study was conducted in compliance with GLP.

The D204of DMI was found to be 1.06.
