Additional information

Toxicity to fish:

The test item was tested for acute toxicity to freshwater fish in a 96 h static test. The 96 h-LC50 was determined to be greater than 660 mg/L (Noack, 2007).

Toxicity to daphnia.

The test item was tested for acute toxicity to aquatic invertebrates in a 48 h static test. The 48 h-EC50 was found to be greater than 918 mg/L (Noack, 2007) .

Chronic toxicity to daphnia:

Further more, a chronic toxicity study according to OECD 211 is available. In the limit test no effects were found up to 10 mg/l .The derived NOEC is : 10 mg/l.

Toxicity to aquatic algae:

The test item was tested for acute toxicity in a 72 h static growth inhibition test with freshwater algae. The 72 h-EC50 was found to be greater than 603 mg/L (Noack, 2007).

Toxicity to aquatic microorganisms:

The test item was tested for toxicity to aquatic microorganisms in a 3 h respiration inhibition test with activated sludge. The EC50 was found to be greater than 500 mg/L (Hydrotox, 2009).
