Additional information

Acute toxicity data of amides, C12-18 (even-numbered) and C18-unsatd., N-hydroxyethyl tested with aquatic organisms are available for three trophic levels. The L(E)C50 values are within a range of 3-38 mg/L. The lowest L(E)C50 value (of the structurally similar substance amides, C8-18 (even numbered) and C18-unsatd., N-(hydroxyethyl)) was found for Daphnia with an EC50 of 3.0 mg/L. The long-term aquatic toxicity NOEC have been determined for the structural analogue C12-18 (even-numbered) and C18-unsatd., N,N-bis(hydroxyethyl) to be 0.32 mg/L in fish and 0.07 mg/L in Daphnia.
