Description of key information

A GLP study was conducted according to the guidelines OECD method 111 and EC method C7 to assess the hydrolytic stability of 2,2,6,6 -tetramethyl-4-oxopiperidinooxy.
At all three pHs tested (pH 4,7 and 9) less than 10% hydrolysis was observed after 5 days at 50 °C, which using the Arrhenius relationship is equivalent to a half-life greater than 1 year at 25 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study was assigned a reliability of 1 using the criteria of Klimisch, 1997.
