Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

General advice: Remove contaminated clothing. If danger of loss of consciousness, place patient in recovery position and transport accordingly. Apply artificial respiration if necessary.

If inhaled: Keep patient calm, remove to fresh air, seek medical attention

On skin contact: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.

On contact with eyes: Immediately wash affected eyes for at least 15 minutes under running water with eyelids help open, consult an eye specialist.

On ingestion: Rinse mouth immediately and then drink plenty of water, seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: water, dry extinguishing media, carbon dioxide.

Special protective equipment: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and chenmical-protective clothing.

Further information: Collect contaminated extinguishing water separately, do not allow to reach sewage or effluent systems.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Ensure adequate ventilation.

Handling and storage

Handling

Ensure thorough ventilation of stores and work areas.

Protection against fire and explosion: Prevent electrostatic charge - sources of ignition should be kept well clear - fire extinguishers should be kept handy.

Storage

Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal protective equipment

Respiratory protection: Respiratory protection in case of vapour/aerosol release. Wear respiratory protection if ventilation is inadequate. Gas filter

for gases/vapours of organic compounds (boilling point >65°C, e.g. EN 14387 Type A).

Hand protection: Chemical resistant protective gloves (EN 374). Suitable materials also with prolonged, direct contact (recommended: Protective

index 6, corresponding > 480 minutes of permeation time according to EN 374):

butyl rubber (butyl) - 0,7 mm coating thickness

nitrile rubber (NBR) - 0,4 mm coating thickness

Supplemantary note: The specifications are based on own tests, literature data and information of glove manufactures or are derived from similar

substances by analogy. Due to many conditions (e.g. temperature) it must be considered, that the practical usage of a chemical-protective glove in

practice  may be much shorter than the determined permeation time.

Eye protection:

Tightly fitting safety goggles (splash googles) (e.g. EN 166)

Body protection:

Body protection must be chosen depending on activity and possible exposure, e.g. apron, protecting boots, chemical -protection suit (according to DIN-EN 465).

General safety and hygiene measures:

Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Type of limit other: ARW 0.6 other: ppm

Stability and reactivity

Conditions to avoid:

Avoid all source of ignition: heat, sparks, open flame.

Thermal decomposition: No data available

Disposal considerations

Incinerate in suitable incineration plant, observing local authority regulations.

Contaminated packaging:

Contaminated packaging should be emptied as far as possible; then it can be passed on for recycling after being thoroughly cleaned.
