Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of the dried product EDG-Na2(trade name VERSENE HEIDA)has been determined to be 0.065 Pa at 25ºC. Based on its multiple carboxylic acid salt functionality the pure substance will exhibit negligible vapor pressure. Because of its high polarity the substance always contains a few % of water so the vapour pressure exhibited by this substance is expected to be that of the adherent water. As the solid substance can also contain crystal water, it cannot be easily dried applying vacuum only.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

For risk assessment purposes, the vapour pressure predicted by QSAR model EPIWIN is used.
