Description of key information
According to OECD Guideline 117 the partition coefficient of the substance is determined in the range of 5.7 to 7.3 which corresponds to a mean values for all peaks of 6.7. It should be noted that this value is of theoretical interest as the substance hydrolyses rapidly in water with a half-life of about 2 hours.

Isocyanates are known to hydrolyse rapidly. However in this case, hydrolysis is not observed in pure water as the substance has a low water solubility and remains as an undissolved solid residue.
For the primary hydrolysis product of IPDI allophanate urea, NCO terminated a logPow of 17.2 was predicted using the Estimation Program Interface (EPI) Suite version 4.11.
