Description of key information
The half-life of Ebanone is considered to be greater than 1 year for pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9 based on measured data for a structural analogue.

Study conducted in compliance with agreed protocols (EU Method C.7, OECD Guideline 111, EPA OPPTS 835.2110) with no or minor deviations from standard test guidelines and/or minor methodological deficiencies, which do not affect the quality of the relevant results. The study report was conclusive, done to a valid guideline and the study was conducted under GLP conditions. The half-life of the test material at 25°C was shown to be greater than 1 year for pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9.
On the basis that the test material (Ebanol), a structurally similar substance, is being used to support Ebanone on the basis of read-across, the half-life of Ebanone is also considered to be greater than 1 year at pH 4, 7 and 9.
