Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Toxicity to fish, aquatic invertebrates, and algae:

Experimental short-term fish and invertebrate data for the registered substance exhibit acute aquatic toxicity >1 and <=10mg/L. QSAR estimations for algae exhibited EC50 and NOEC values of 3.1 mg/L and 1.2 mg/L, respectively. QSAR results for long-term fish and invertebrate for the registered substance estimate chronic toxicity >0.1 and <=1 mg/L. This supporting QSAR information is provided by acute and chronic aquatic toxicity values calculated using the neutral organics structure-activity relationship in the ECOSAR computer program (Nabholz and Mayo-Bean, 2009) of EPISuite. Validity and applicability of the QSAR are described in a document attached as background material to the QSAR endpoint study record. Measured data demonstrate that the QSAR estimations accurately predict aquatic effects from short and long-term continuous exposure to the registered substance (as is obtained under test conditions).

Toxicity to microorganisms:

Results from an aerobic respiration study, using an activated sludge inoculum, suggests that Alcohols, C9 -11-iso-, C10-rich would not produce effects to aquatic micro-organisms.
