Administrative data
First-aid measures
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician or Poison Control Center immediately. Drink two glasses of water or milk to dilute. Never administer anything by mouth if a victim is losing consciousness, is unconscious, or is convulsing.
Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, have a trained individual give oxygen. Immediate medical attention is required.
Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 20 minutes retracting eyelids often. Tilt the head to prevent chemical from transferring to the uncontaminated eye. Get immediate medical attention if symptoms of burning, pain, and/or vision impairment remain. After initial flushing, remove any contact lenses.
Skin Contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. If a person feels unwell or symptoms of skin irritation appear, consult a physician. For hot product, immediately immerse in or flush affected area with large amounts of cold water to dissipate heat. Cover with clean cotton sheeting or gauze and get prompt medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable Extinguishing Media: Dry chemical, Water spray mist or foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Alcohol-resistant foam.
Hazards from Combustion Products: In case of fire may be liberated: Carbon monoxide, chlroinated hydrocarbons, hydrogen chloride,
hydrocarbon fragments, carbon dioxide (CO2).
Special Protective Equipment for Firefighters: Do not enter fire area without proper protection including selfcontained breathing apparatus and full protective equipment. Fight fire from a safe distance and a protected location due to the potential of hazardous vapors and decomposition products.
Accidental release measures
Clean up: Prevent the spread of any spill to minimize harm to human health and the environment if safe to do so. Dike with suitable absorbent material like granulated clay. Gather and store in a sealed container pending a waste disposal evaluation. Evacuate the area promptly. Avoid dispersal of dust in the air (i.e., clearing dust surfaces with compressed air). Environmental Precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Should not be released into the environment.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid dust formation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Use only in area provided with appropriate exhaust ventilation. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Routine housekeeping should be instituted to ensure that dusts do not accumulate on surfaces. Dry powders can build static electricity charges when subjected to the friction of transfer and mixing operations. Provide adequate precautions, such as electrical grounding and bonding, or inert atmospheres. employ bonding, grounding, venting and explosion relief provisions in accordance with accepted engineering practices. No smoking.
Storage: Keep in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat sources and sources of ignition.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Engineering Measures to Reduce Exposure: Use in closed systems. Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to control airborne levels. Use good industrial hygiene measures to avoid dust and opportunity for skin contact. In the case of hazardous fumes, wear self contained breathing apparatus. Wear face-shield and protective suit for abnormal processing problems. Provide for appropriate exhaust
ventilation at machinery. Processing fume condensate may be a fire hazard and toxic; remove periodically from exhaust hoods, ductwork, and other surfaces using appropriate personal protection.
Hand Protection: Wear chemically resistant gloves. Inspect gloves for chemical break-through and replace at regular intervals. Wash hands and other exposed areas with mild soap and water before eating, drinking, and when leaving work.
Eye Protection: Use safety goggles. Contact lens use: Contact lenses may pose a special hazard; soft contact lenses may absorb and concentrate irritants; lodging of material between contact lens and eye may also occur. Should symptoms of irritation develop in the contact lens user, lenses should be immediately removed, eyes should be irrigated and a physician consulted on acute care and treatment. In addition, use full-face shield when cleaning processing vapor condensates from hood, ducts, and other surfaces.
Respiratory Protection: For protection from dust, wear suitable respiratory equipment (NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149). When using this product at elevated temperatures, implement engineering systems, administrative controls or a respiratory protection program (including a respirator approved for protection from organic vapors, acid gases and particulate matter) if processing vapors are not adequately controlled or operators experience symptoms of overexposure.
Body Protection: Long sleeved clothing, In case of handling molten material, use impervious gloves and solvent-resistant apron. If splashes are likely to occur, wear flame retardant protective clothing and solvent resistant apron and boots.
Environmental Precautions: Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Should not be released into the environment.
Stability and reactivity
Stability: Stable and not reactive under recommended storage and handling conditions. Hydroyzes to diacid in water.
Conditions to Avoid: Avoid sparks, open flames, hot surfaces, other ignition sources, static buildup and elevated temperatures. Heating can result in the formation of gaseous decomposition products, some of which may be hazardous.
Materials to Avoid: Avoid oxidizing agents, strong acid and strong bases.
Disposal considerations
Place in tightly sealed, labeled containers for disposal in accordance with federal, state and local requirements. Landfill or incinerate in accordance with federal, state and local requirements. Mixing spent or discarded material with other materials may render the mixture hazardous. Perform a hazardous waste determination on mixtures.
