Description of key information

In a short term toxicity test (48 hours) to Daphnia magna the influence of the test item on the swimming ability was determined. The measured EC50 value was 1.42 mg/L with confidence limits (95%) of 1.16 - 1.73 mg/L.

Additional information

This study investigated the influence of the test substance on the swimming ability (mobility) of Daphnia magna. The test substance was suspended in water. The daphnids were exposed to various concentrations of the test substance and compared to a control. The test criterion examined was the immobilization of the daphnids after 48 hours of exposure according to OECD Guideline 202 (1984). The test substance was tested in the range of nominal concentrations between 3.13 and 100 mg/L. The measured EC50 value was 1.42 mg/L with confidence limits (95%) of 1.16 - 1.73 mg/L.
