Reference
Endpoint:
bioaccumulation in aquatic species: fish
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation based on log Kow <=3 and a low potential to cross biological membranes

Description of key information

The bioaccumulation study in aquatic species study does not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (the components of HBPA were determined to have log10Pow values of 1.9, 2.4 and 2.5, equivalent Pow values of 82, 220 and 290).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex IX, the bioaccumulation in aquatic species study does not need to be conducted as the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (the substance has a log octanol / water partition coefficient less than 3).
