Description of key information

Rikabinol HB was determined to melt over the range of approximately 50 to 160°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
50 °C

Additional information

The determination of melting/freezing point of HBPA was carried out by the metal block method (Huntingdon Life Sciences, 2012, Study MOG0004). For confirmatory purposes, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was also conducted. The procedure was designed to be compatible with the EC Method A.1 and the OECD test guideline 102, and was conducted in compliance with GLP.

HBPA was determined to melt over the range of approximately 50 to 160 °C.
