During the study the atmospheric pressure was in the range 1006 -1020 hPa. In accordance with DIN 51758 the study was performed using a fully automatic apparatus (PMA 2, Coesfeld). The ignitions trials were examined automatically. At the sample temperature of 102 °C an ignition was oberved. Further tests were performed according DIN 51758 in semiautomatic and, respectively, fully automated apparatus (PMP1 / PM1, Coesfeld). As ignition source a coiled filament (PMP1 apparatus) or an igniting flame (PM1 apparatus) were used. Ignitions were only detected visually by the study director. Ignitions (flash points) were observed at the following temperatures: 92 °C, 87 °C, 70 °C and 74 °C. Due to the dispersive measuring values and the test item's peroperties further investigations were carried out with a new sample of the test item according to guideline DIN 53213 part 1. In these measurements ignitions were observed at 85 °C and 83 °C (outside the guideline's scope). Because of the differences in atmospheric pressures during the test no corrections to normal pressure were done. The lowest flash point was 70 °C.
