Description of key information

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no adverse effect observed (not sensitising)
Additional information:

In the Guinea pig maximization test with dodecanedioic acid (CAS# 693-23-2) the read-across material for Corfree® M1 it was demonstrated after intradermal and epicutaneous inductions that none of the 20 guinea pigs tested exhibited positive response 24 hours (48 hours) after epicutaneous challenge. Under the conditions of the study dodecanedioic acid or or structurely similar chemicals are not expected to cause skin sensitisation.

Migrated from Short description of key information:
A key read-across study with dodecanedioic acid (CAS# 693-23-2) demonstrated that Corfree® M1 (CASRN: 72162-23-2) is not expected to be a skin sensitizer.

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no study available
Additional information:

No study available

Migrated from Short description of key information:
No study available

Justification for classification or non-classification

There was no indication for a sensitising potentialin a maximisation test according to Magnusson and Kligman.
