Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Water solubility:
14.8 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Incubation duration:
3 h
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
10
Remarks on result:
other: a water solubility of 3.5 mg/L after 3 days was determined. Some hydroylsis might take place during the time.

The result from the pH 10 buffered samples that had been mixed at 30 °C for 1, 2 and 3 days
was considerably lower than for the other solutions and the chromatograms showed
additional peaks which suggested hydrolysis at pH 10. Additional samples were therefore
prepared. Vials containing Thiram (15 mg) and pH 10 buffer solution (30 mL) were purged
with nitrogen, sealed and mixed at 20 °C for 1, 2 and 3 hours. After mixing at 20 °C the
samples were then processed immediately and diluted for analysis by the HPLC method.
The additional pH 10 buffered samples gave a water solubility result of 14.8 mg/L. This
should be considered to be a minimum solubility value since it cannot be certain that some
hydrolysis had not taken place prior to analysis.

The mean recoveries of Thiram from the method verification samples prepared at the 10% fortification level were as follows:
