Description of key information

The substance attained 77% degradation after 28 days and satisfied the 10-Day window validation criterion. The test item can therefore be considered to be readily biodegradable under the strict terms and conditions of OECD Guideline 301.B.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The biodegradation of Precurcor PD 206 was determined in an aerobic aqueous medium. The method followed was designed according to OECD 301B ready biodegradability test.

The reference substance was 69% degraded after 14 days 81% degraded after 28 days and met the 10-day window requirement. The toxicity control attained 43% degradation after 14 days and 94% degradation after 28 days thereby confirming that the test item was not toxic to sewage treatment microorganisms used in the test. The test substance was 77% degraded at the end of 28 day, and therefore can be considered to be readily biodegradable under the strict terms and conditions of OECD Guideline No. 301.B.
