Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The dissociation constant in water of Precursor PD 206 was found to be 6.60 ± 0.5 pKa using titration method, according to OECD 112.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

To obtain a value for dissociation constant (pKa) which quantitatively expresses the extent to which a substance dissociates in solution. At approximately 1 mL of titrant to the mid-point of the equivalence point, 0.1 mL increments are added at a time. The pH of the test solution, when half of the volume of titrant required to reach the equivalence point has been added, is obtained as the pKa of the sample. The dissociation constant in water of Precursor PD 206 (pKa) was found to be 6.60 ± 0.5 pKa.
