Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The estimated BCF of the key study was obtained to be 100. This low value of BCF of tin(II) oxalate indicates its non bioaccumulative nature as the BCF factor is less than the EPA threshold of 2000.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):

By applying weight of evidence approach to the target substance tin(II) oxalate, the endpoint value of bioaccumulation was found to vary between BCF = 88.73 to 100 in aquatic organisms /fish.Thus it is concluded that the test substance tin(II) oxalate is not expected to bioaccumulate in the food chain because it does not exceed the BCF criteria.
