Description of key information

Test substance is not a readily combustible solid when testing according to EU Method A.10 in compliance with GLP.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

A study was performed to determine the flammability of test substance according to EU Method A.10 in compliance with GLP. The substance could not be ignited with a flame, only a short flame up was observed and it melted. The main test was considered unnecessary because the test substance could not be ignited (Dr. J. Franke, 2002).

Justification for classification or non-classification

Flammability of the test substance was determined according to EU Method A.10. using ring method. The test substance could not be ignited with a flame, only a short flame up was observed and it melted. The main test is unnecessary because the test substance could not be ignited. Test substance is not a readily combustible solid.

Therefore no classification is required for flammability according to EC criteria (67/548/EEC) and according to CLP criteria (EC 1272/2008).
