Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Pyrophoric solids
Test procedure:
ignition time on contact with air
Remarks:
Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
Remarks on result:
no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.
Pyrophoric liquids
Test procedure:
ignition time on contact with air
Remarks:
Ignition on contact with air refers to either Pyrophoric solids or Pyrophoric liquids depending on physical state (migrated information).
Remarks on result:
no ignition on contact with air (not further specified)
Remarks:
corresponding to 'no' in migrated source record.

Any other information on results incl. tables

Preliminary screening test

The pile failed to ignite during the two minutes that the Bunsen flame was applied.

The result of the preliminary screening test obviated the need to perform the main test.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
other: Not highly flammable
Conclusions:
The test material has been determined to be not highly flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test.
Executive summary:

The flammability (solids) was determined for substance NDS-Li in project number 1307 -0448 by measuring the burning rate of test material prepared as a pile of set dimensions.  Testing was conducted using Method A10 of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC (which constitutes Annex V of Council Directive 67/548/EEC). The test material has been determined to be not highly flammable as it failed to ignite in the preliminary screening test.
