Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

To determine the toxicity of 4-morpholinecarbaldehyde to aquatic invertebrates, a non-GLP study according to EEC Directive 79/831/EEC using Daphnia magna as test organism was performed. Based on nominal concentrations the EC50 (48h) was determined to be greater than 500 mg/L (BASF AG, 1987; report no. 1/1679/2 -88 -1679/88). The test item concentrations were not analytically verified but are assumed to be stable regarding the substance's properties: low volatility, high water solubility. not significantly bioaccumulative, adsorption not expected.

It can be concluded that 4-morpholinecarbaldehyde is with high probability acutely not harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
