Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 121 (Estimation of the Adsorption Coefficient (Koc) on Soil and on Sewage Sludge using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC))
Deviations:
yes
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Testing was carried out in the totally unionised form at pH 3.5, however, it was not possible to carry out testing in the fully ionised form as this would have required testing at pH>13 which would have been detrimental to the stationary phase of a cyanopropyl column. Therefore testing was carried out at pH 7 as this would simulate typical neutral environmental conditions. Testing showed that there was no significant change in results with pH, only minor analytical variation.
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Remarks:
UK GLP standards (Schedule 1, Good laboratory Practice regulations 1999 (SI 1999/3106))
Type of method:
HPLC estimation method
