Results with test item solution at 1g/l

Preparation of the test item solution:

A quantity of 1.391 g of test item was weighed in a 500-mL volumetric flask, and the volume was made up with demineralized water. The solution was magnetically stirred during 2 hours and 15 minutes.

Description of key information

The surface tension of the REACh substance (2-Hydroxy-3-sulphopropyl) dimethyl[3-[(1-oxododecyl) amino]propyl]ammonium hydroxide (EC 242-893-1) in aqueous solution was investigated in a GLP-compliant study (Grevin, 2012) performed in accordance with OECD Guideline 115 (Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions) and EU Method A.5 (Surface Tension). The mean surface tension of a test item solution at 1g/L of active ingredient (corresponding to 1.28 g solid content/L) was 38.5 ± 0.3 mN/m.
