Guideline:
OECD Guideline 115 (Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions)
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.5 (Surface Tension)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
OECD harmonised ring method
Surface tension:

Conclusions:
The surface tensions of 1 g/l aqueous dispersions and 90% saturated aqueous solutions of
Softanol 30 were found to be 28.0 mN/m and 56.5 mN/m respectively. As these values were
less than 60 mN/m, the test substance was considered to be surface active.

Description of key information

The surface tensions of 1g/L aqueous dispersions and 90% saturated aqueous solutions of Softanol 30 were found to be 28.0 mN/m and 56.5 mN/m respectively. As these values were less than 60 mN/m, the test substance was considered to be surface active.
