Description of key information

GLP study for the determination of the melting point according to EU Method A.1
General Physical Chemistry, Schering AG, Berlin. Study report No. NC46EY10 (APC 70/99) dated 1999-09-15
Result: 185.5 °C (475.5 K) ± 0.6 K.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Hydroxidrospirenon is a solid under ambient conditions.

The result is confirmed by observation (hot stage microscope).

There are two exothermic peaks with onsets of approx. 210°C and approx 280 °C, which can be interpreted as the signals of thermal decomposition.

DTA conditions

Instrument: DSC 111, Setaram

Heating rate: 5K/min.
