Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Three studies investigating the ready biodegradability of Fatty acids, C8-10, mixed esters with adipic acid and trimethylolpropane (CAS No. 95912-89-3) are available. The three key studies were conducted according to OECD guideline 301B under aerobic conditions using non-adapted activated sludge as inoculum (Häner, 2006a/2007; 2006b; 2006c). Based on CO2 evolution mean degradation rates of 84.7 (Häner, 2006a/2007, 78.1 (Häner, 2006b) and 80.9% (Häner, 2006c) were observed after 28 days. The 10-day-window criterion was fulfilled in all three studies. Hence, the substance is determined to be readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria.
