The log Koc of Sorbic acid as determined according to OECD 121 was -1.72. However, it must be noted that this vlalue only indicates the order of magnitude of it, as some deviations from the guidance were seen during the study leading to uncertainties regarding the exact determination of the value, followed by a limitation of the validity of the study. Since the Sorbate anion is the environmental relevant one, and as the presence of Sorbic acid or Sorbate anion is pH dependent, the results can be extrapolated to Potassium sorbate.
