The abiotic degradation of Potassium sorbate under environmentally relevant conditions. It is hydrolytically stable and only to a minor extend photodegradable in surface water. But its atmospherical half-life is compatatively low, however, due to its low vapour pressure, photolysis in air can not be regarded as an environmentally relevant degradation pathway.
