Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The read across justification and evaluation of impurities document is attached on section 13 of the dossier.

The substance does not undergo rapid photodegradation under environmental conditions.

The previsional calculated value for Hydroxyl Radicals Reaction:

OVERALL OH Rate Constant = 13.0726 E-12 cm3/molecule-sec

Half-Life = 0.818 Days (12-hr day; 1.5E6 OH/cm3)

Half-Life = 9.818 Hrs

Ozone Reaction:

No Ozone Reaction Estimation

Because the substance is rapidly biodegraded in surface waters (see biodegradability) and has low vapour pressure, photodegradation in surface waters likely plays only a minor role, if any, as a removal mechanism.

Based on practical experience during handling and production a degradation of the substance can happen by abiotic hydrolysis under extreme conditions (e.g., elevated temperatures, presence of inorganic acids) not likely to be encountered in the environment.

Based on the results from extreme conditions and professional judgment, it is concluded that the substance does not degrade significantly by non-biological mechanisms. The absence of readily hydrolysable groups in the chemical structure and the use pattern in shelf-stable liquid cleaning products supports this conclusion.
