Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Based on available data, exposure to the sediment compartment is not likely and it can be expected that all components of Polyol TD have a low potential for adsorption to sediment. Therefore, degradation simulation testing in sediment does not need to be conducted.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of soil is unlikely. Furthermore, it can be expected that all components of Polyol TD have a low potential for adsorption to sediment (log Pow < 3). The octanol-water partition coefficient for Reaction mass of 2-ethylpropane-1,3-diol (DMP) and 5-ethyl-1,3-dioxane-5-methanol (CTF) and propylidynetrimethanol (TMP) components are log Pow = 0.19 (CTF), -0.2 (DMP) and -0.8 (TMP).
