Description of key information

From the results of a GLP-compliant study in accordance with EC A.14, the substance should be considered to present no danger of explosion. No explosions were observed when exposing the test substance to thermal stress or to mechanical stress (by shock and friction).

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the results of a GLP-compliant study in accordance with EC A.14 and as the substance does not contain any chemically instable or highly energetic groups associated with explosive properties, the substance does not need to be classified as an explosive solid according to the CLP Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.

Based on structural features, relevant study results and on experience in handling, the substance does not have to be classified as a self-reactive substance.
