Description of key information

Daphnia magna 48 hr EC50 >100 % v/v saturated solution. There were no signs of toxicity at saturation. Analysis of saturated solution confirmed that the concentration of farnesene present was < the LOQ, determined to be 1.5 μg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test item to the freshwater invertebrate Daphnia magna is considered to have a 48-Hour EC50 of greater than 100% v/v saturated solution. The No Observed Effect Concentration was 100% v/v saturated solution and there were no toxic effects at saturation. Analysis of saturated solution confirmed that the concentration of farnesene present was < the LOQ, determined to be 1.5 μg/L
