Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Log Koc = 5.71 at 25 °C (KOCWIN v2.00)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No studies investigating the adsorption characteristics of the substance are available. Using the program EpiSuite (KOCWIN v2.00), both calculation methods, the MCI method and the estimation based on log Kow, yielded a log Koc of 5.71 (Knoell Consult GmbH, 2012). The QSAR calculation indicates that docosanamide (CAS No. 3061-75-4) is expected to adsorb to suspended solids and sediment based upon the log Koc of 5.7 as calculated for the uncharged molecule.

Additional information from an OECD 121 study is available for the read across substance (Z)-Docos-13-enamide (CAS No. 112 -84 -5. The expected log Koc of (Z)-docos-13-enamide is about 8.
