Conclusions:
Dynamic viscosity (ASTM D 445): 2.295 mPa s at 20°C
Executive summary:

Viscosity was determined using the capillary viscosimeter method (kinematic viscosity; ASTM D 445; mean of two determinations) at 20°C and 40°C:

20°C: 2.771 mm^2/s, corresponding to a dynamic viscosity of 2.295 mPa s.

40°C: 1.911 mm^2/s.

The laboratory complied with a quality management system according to DIN EN ISO 9001 : 2008.

Additional information

Based on a kinematic viscosity of 1.911 mm^2/s at 40°C, the compound would be classified for Aspiration Toxicity Category 1 according to CLP regulation (REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008). However, this category is generally restricted to some hydrocarbons, certain chlorinated hydrocarbons, terpentine and pine oil.

In conclusion, no classification and labelling requirements arise from REGULATION (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP).

Based on a kinematic viscosity of 1.911 mm^2/s at 40°C, the compound would be classified for Aspiration Toxicity Category 2 according to UN GHS (sixth revised edition, 2015), applicable to other chemicals than hydrocarbons. However, examples for this category comprize e.g. n-primary alcohols and ketones (of no more than 13 carbon atoms), however aldehydes are not mentioned in this respect.

In conclusion, no classification and labelling requirements arise from UN GHS (sixth revised edition, 2015).
