First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move the person to the fresh air. If not breathing give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult give oxygen.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Rinse with plenty of water or shower.
Eye contact: Rinse with plenty of water for 15 minutes, specially below the eyelid.
Ingestion: If swallowed, wash out mouth with plenty of water.
In any case, seek medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguisher media: Water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide or foam are appropriate for surrounding fire and materials.
Under fire conditions the product emits toxic gases and vapours.
Fire fighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothes to prevent contact with skin and eyes.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions to de taken: Avoid contact with eyes, skin or clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Environmental protection: Avoid leaking into a public drainage and/ or sewer.
Clearance of spilled product: Sweep up the spilled product. Place it in a container for waste disposal. Ventilate the area and wash spill site after material pickup is completed.

Handling and storage

Handling: Connect the exhausters in the working area, if possible, or ventilate when handling the product. Use always with safety goggles. Protect respiratory tract.
Storage: Keep in a well-closed container.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: EPTL: The product is stable from a safety point of view. Unstable at high temperature and high humidity. Slowly decompose with water (N2-[1-(S)-ethoxy-carbonyl-3-phenylpropyl]-N6-trifuluoroacetyl-L-lysine is generated by hydrolysis).
Thermal decomposition products: (Preparation) If heated until decomposition it emits toxic gases and vapours, such as CO, NOx, HF, HCl and phosgene may be formed by fire.
Condition to avoid: High temperature and high humidity.

Disposal considerations

Dispose of waste in authorized plant, in accordance with the applicable local and national regulations. Study the possibility of reuse.
