The main components of the submission substance are of inorganic nature. According to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VII, No. 9.2.1.1, a study on ready biodegradability has not to be performed if the substance is inorganic.The substance finally will be completely dissociated into ions. Therefore, testing for hydrolysis is not considered scientifically justified.
For the organic complex ligand humate, which comprise <1% (w/w) of the submission substance, a screening study (EU Guideline C.4, closed bottle test) for ready biodegradation (test material potassium humate) was performed. The test material was not ready biodegradable.
