Additional information

The potential of the test item to be irritant to the skin was investigated through an in vitro skin irritation study using a commercial reconstructed human epidermis (RhE) model named EPISKINTM and to cause corrosion/severe irritation by using the Bovine Corneal Opacity and Permeability (BCOP) assay. In both cases the result is negative. An in vivo study on the substance has not be performed, but in a wieght of evidence approach, the in vivo and ex vivo results for similar substances have been reported.

Justification for selection of skin irritation / corrosion endpoint:

GLP compliant with international guidelines

Justification for selection of eye irritation endpoint:

GLP compliant with international guidelines

Justification for classification or non-classification

No classification for skin and eye irritation is warranted under Regulation 1272/2008
