Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Henry's Law Constant characterizes the equilibrium distribution of dilute concentrations of volatile, soluble chemicals between the gas and liquid phases. The substance to register (i.e., Marlon ARL) and the two read across substances that comprise the reaction product (i.e., linear alkylbenzenesulfonate and sodium toluenesulfonate) are not volatile and therefore estimating a Henry's Law Constant is not feasible or relevant.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Vapour pressure, a measure of volatility, is not required under REACH for substances with a melting point above 300C. A 2009 melting point ISO Guideline study of the Marlon ARL reaction product reported there was no decompositon and no sublimation at up to 350C and 1 atm. The measurements were done in triplicate.
