Additional information

Data on the toxicity of tetradonium bromide have been obtained for all aquatic endpoints. The lowest toxicity was obtained for Phosphobacterium phosphoreum with a EC50 value of 0.63 mg/L. Fish seem to be marginally more sensitive. LC50 (96h) values are obtained for two different freshwater fish species, Danio rerio and Oncorhynchus mykiss, the LC50 values varied between 1.8 -2.5 mg/L. Aquatic invertebrates seem to be even more sensitive than fish, with EC50 and NOEL at 22 and 23 µg/L for short and long-term studies, respectively. Freshwater microalgae seem to be the most sensitive species, with EC50 and NOEC values for growth at 5.4 and 1.3 µg/L, respectively.
