Conclusions:
Half life value of 1,3-dihydro-1-oxoisobenzofuran-5-carbonitrile in soil was estimated to be 720 hrs that is 30 days.Based upon the half life value ( < 60 days ) , it is concluded that 1,3-dihydro-1-oxoisobenzofuran-5-carbonitrile is not persistence in soil and is biodegradable.
