FAT 20242 was evaluated for toxicity to aquatic organisms at three trophic levels i.e. fish, daphnids and Lemna.

The LC50 in the key acute fish toxicity test was determined to be 58 mg/l (48 hours exposure time) and 43 mg/l after 96 hours exposure time.

The EC50 of FAT 20242/B in the acute immobilisation test (24 hours exposure time), was determined to be between 22.4-27.3 mg/L.

In the study with Lemna minor, the average specific growth rate (frond number) had an EC50 of >100 mg/L. The NOEC was 32 mg/L and the LOEC was 100 mg/L.

In addition to above studies, the IC50 to bacterial population was found to be greater than 400 mg/l.
