Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Considering the high water solubility (340 mg/L) and the low log Kow value (log Kow = 1.48) assuming a low adsorption potential of the substance as well as the low vapour pressure (<= 11Pa at 20 °C), Reaction product of fatty acids C14-18/C16-18 unsaturated with dihydrogendioxide and ammonia will tend to be mainly distributed into the water phase. However, since the substance is readily biodegradable, it will not be persistent in the aquatic environment. The ammonia component is expected to volatilize and/or form salts with available anions under environmental condition. Photolytic degradation and reaction with photolytically produced radicals in the troposphere are the expected pathways for the removal of atmospheric ammonia.
