Description of key information

In a limit test according to OECD guideline 201, the test substance showed no growth inhibitory effect to algae (EC50 > 100 mg/L) (BASF SE, 2008).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a 72 hour acute toxicity study, the cultures of Desmodesmus subspicatus (previous name: Scenedesmus subspicatus) were exposed to 2-[(2-methoxy-5-nitrophenyl)diazenyl]-N-(2-methoxyphenyl)-3-oxobutanamide at a nominal limit concentration of 100 mg/L under static conditions in accordance with the OECD guideline 201 (BASF SE, 2008). No growth inhibition was observed. The NOEC based on cell density was > 100 mg/L.
