Description of key information

Olaflur decomposes as observed in TGA (Thermogravimetric analysis) analysis before boiling. Consequently, a boiling point cannot be determined.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The decomposition of Olaflur was studied with TGA (Thermogravimetric analysis).

Test concentration (Start): 4.7570 mg Olaflur

Experimental conditions: Temperature ramp from 30 to 550°C with 5 °C/min keeping 1 hour isothermally at 550 °C. Purging with nitrogen 80 mL/min, pan: aluminium 40 µL, with punctured cover (50 µm).

Weight loss as % (w/w) of starting weight

1. step (36.74 - 102.05 °C): - 0.2676 mg = 5.63 %

2. step (102.05 - 161°C): - 0.4721 mg = 9.9240 %

3. step (161 - 538.98 °C): - 3.8352 mg = 80.6228 %

Residue 0.1788 mg = 3.75 %

Olaflur decomposes as observed in TGA-analysis before boiling, the boiling point cannot be determined.
