Additional information

Cardamom oil is a colorless liquid at ambient temperature; it doesn't undergo freezing down to -20°C, and distillates from 201°C. It is expected to float over water, because of its low relative density (0.93), and moderate solubility (globally ca 371 mg/L; major components between 58 and 3500 mg/L). The major components, cineol and alpha terpinyl acetate, exhibit only low volatility (up to ca 250 Pa) and no potential for bioaccumulation (log K < 4). Surface-active properties are anticipated; therefore relevance of water solubility and log K should raise concerns.

Based on its flash point of ca 59°C, Cardamom oil will be classified as a Flammable liquid (cat.3, according to CLP criteria).

It is not regarded as hazardous with regard to other physical hazard classes (explosivity, self-reactive nor oxidising properties).

It should be noted that, as a Natural Complex Substance, the above properties of Cardamom oil may exhibit some variations.
