Additional information

The substance 1,2,3-propanetriol, mono- and diformates is considered to be readily biodegradable. The substance is thus expected to be rapidly degraded by microorganisms in both the aquatic and terrestrial environments and therefore, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex IX, column 2,, further simulation tests for water and sediment or soil biodegradation are not necessary.

In addition, sediment and soil simulation testing is only required for substances with a high potential for adsorption to sediment and/or soil. The log Kow of the test substance was estimated to be < -1.7, demonstrating negligible potential for adsorption.
