Description of key information

The boiling range of octane is 124 to 126.6 °C at 1 atm.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The boiling range of octane is 124 to 126.6 °C at 1 atm. The Boiling range is measured at atmospheric pressure using ASTM D 1078. This range was determined by Halterman Products (2010) using ASTM D1078. Production data 2008 to 2009 of Haltermann Products show 124.0 to 126.6 °C (min IBP to max FBP) using ASTM D 1078. These data justify the distillation range given.
