Administrative data
First-aid measures
· General information : Instantly remove any clothing soiled by the product.
· After inhalation :
Supply fresh air. If required, provide artificial respiration. Keep patient warm. Consult doctor if symptoms
persist.
In case of unconsciousness bring patient into stable side position for transport.
· After skin contact
Instantly wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
Immediate medical treatment necessary. Failure to treat burns can prevent wounds from healing.
· After eye contact
Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water.
Call a doctor immediately.
· After swallowing
Instantly call for doctor.
Rinse out mouth and then drink plenty of water.
Fire-fighting measures
· Suitable extinguishing agents : Use fire fighting measures that suit the environment.
· Special hazards caused by the material, its products of combustion or flue gases:
Formation of toxic gases is possible during heating or in case of fire.
· Protective equipment: Put on breathing apparatus.
· Additional information : Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter drains.
Accidental release measures
· Person-related safety precautions:
Avoid causing dust.
Use breathing protection against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.
Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.
· Measures for environmental protection: Do not allow to enter drainage system, surface or ground water.
· Measures for cleaning/collecting: Collect mechanically.
· Additional information: personal protection equipment :
- General protective and hygienic measures
Do not eat, drink or smoke while working.
Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and food.
Instantly remove any soiled and impregnated garments.
Store protective clothing separately.
Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
Do not inhale dust/smoke/mist.
Be sure to clean skin thoroughly after work and before breaks.
- Breathing equipment: Not necessary if room is well-ventilated.
- Protection of hands:
The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation.
Only use chemical protective gloves with CE-labelling of category III.
- Material of gloves
The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality
and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
Nitrile rubber, NBR
- Penetration time of glove material
The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be
observed.
- Eye protection: Tightly sealed safety glasses.
- Body protection: Alkaline resistant protective clothing

Exposure controls / personal protection
· The substance is an intermediate to be used under Strictly Controlled conditions. Control and procedural technologies are used to minimize emissions and release resulting exposure.
Breathing equipment:
In case of of dusty material: For brief exposure or low pollution use breathing filter apparatus. In case of intensive or longer
exposure use breathing apparatus that is independent of circulating air.
· Recommended filter device for short term use: Filter P3
Personal protective equipment : See section : "Accidental release measures"
Stability and reactivity
· Thermal decomposition/conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications.
· Materials to be avoided: Concentrate acids
· Dangerous reactions :
Heating occurs when water is added
Strong exothermic reaction with acids
· Dangerous products of composition: Corrosive gases/vapours
Disposal considerations
· Product:
· Recommendation
Contact manufacturer for recycling information.
Must not be disposed of together with household garbage. Do not allow product to reach sewage system.
· European waste catalogue
10 04 02 dross and skimmings from primary and secondary production
· Uncleaned packagings:
· Recommendation: Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
