Hydrolysis is very long (Half-life > 140 days at 25°C). As shown in the ready biodegradability study, the substance won't probably be degraded by biotic reaction neither. Because of its low log Kow value (1.17), tetramethylthiuram monosulphide sorption on soil or sediment is not expected. Therefore, the main compartment of concern is considered to be the water compartment. Because of the low log Kow, no bioaccumulation is expected. Therefore the substance is not suspected to be PBT or vPvB. As demonstrated by the CSA, no further assessment of the environmental fate of the substance is needed.
